We ask all patients to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. If you arrive late, you might not be seen and will be charged a missed appointment fee.
NOTE: Face masks are strongly encouraged in the building to create a safer environment for our patients and staff. Patients that arrive at the clinic without a mask can request a mask at reception. For information on face covering recommendations view our Use of a Cloth Facemask PDF.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you must call 512.245.2161 or visit our clinic. A $25 missed appointment/late cancellation charge will be incurred by students who do not cancel their appointment at least two hours (24 hours for psychiatry) prior to their appointment time.
Students can request a walkout statement at checkout whenever a visit is made to see a healthcare provider. Students can use the walkout statement to provide documentation of a visit to the Student Health Center for a professor or employer. The walkout statement will include the date of service and is the document provided to students for use as a class or work excuse.
Currently Texas State enrolled students attending classes at the San Marcos or Round Rock campus can access to Student Health Center services. Students who take correspondence or distance learning courses are also eligible for care at the Student Health Center.

Texas State students not currently enrolled may use the Student Health Center for one long semester after their last semester enrolled at Texas State.
- At the end of this grace semester, the physician-patient relationship is terminated as well as access to all other services. It is the responsibility of the patient to arrange for transfer of care to another physician by the end of this extra semester.
Texas State Faculty and Staff
Texas State faculty and staff are eligible for limited services including flu shots, TB skin tests, travel health, tobacco cessation. Faculty and staff may also use the Student Health Center for immunizations. For questions or more information visit our Faculty & Staff webpage or call 512.245.2161.

- Individuals on campus for Texas State-Sponsored Camps, Programs and Workshops are eligible for services at the Student Health Center and Pharmacy during the duration of the program.
- Please call the Student Health Center at 512.245.2161 for questions about eligibility and cost of care.
Spouses, children and friends of Texas State students are not eligible for services at the Student Health Center.
