Eligibility
Those who are eligible to use the Student Health Center are:
Students who:
Are currently enrolled,
Have a valid Texas State Student ID,
And have paid the Medical Service Fee (included in your tuition and fees).
If you meet these requirements, you are entitled to unlimited visits with a physician or nurse at no cost.
Lab tests, x-rays, prescriptions, allergy injections and other services are available at reasonable prices.
Students no longer enrolled may use the Student Health Center for one full semester after the semester they previously attended at Texas State (see chart below).
For example, students enrolled in the Spring semester may use the facility until the end of the Summer II session.
Non-students must pay a $35 fee to see a medical provider.
Students enrolled in the previous semester can receive care during the periods between academic semesters without an additional fee for seeing a physician or nurse.
For example, students enrolled in the Spring semester will not have to pay an additional fee in the time after the Spring semester ends and before Summer I begins.

Faculty and
staff are only eligible for limited
services:
Includes flu shots,
cholesterol testing, diabetes screening, TB skin tests, tetanus shots,
some immunizations, smoking cessation counseling and anonymous HIV
antibody testing.
Those who are NOT eligible to use the Student Health Center are:
Spouses, children and friends of Texas State students, faculty, or staff.
