Eligibility

Those who are eligible to use the Student Health Center are:

• Students who:

• Are currently enrolled,
• Have a valid Texas State Student ID,
• And have paid the Medical Service Fee (included in your tuition and fees).
  • If you meet these requirements, you are entitled to unlimited visits with a physician or nurse at no cost.
  • Lab tests, x-rays, prescriptions, allergy injections and other services are available at reasonable prices.

• Students no longer enrolled may use the Student Health Center for one full semester after the semester they previously attended at Texas State (see chart below).

• For example, students enrolled in the Spring semester may use the facility until the end of the Summer II session.
• Non-students must pay a $35 fee to see a medical provider.

• Students enrolled in the previous semester can receive care during the periods between academic semesters without an additional fee for seeing a physician or nurse.
  • For example, students enrolled in the Spring semester will not have to pay an additional fee in the time after the Spring semester ends and before Summer I begins.
