Location and Parking

The Student Health Center is located on the Texas State University campus, north of the LBJ Student Center and Jackson Hall.

Free parking for patients, visitors and the Pharmacy is provided in front of the Student Health Center.  Enter the gated parking area in front of the building from Tomás Rivera.  Please bring your ticket inside to be validated. If all parking spaces are full, please park in the circle area in front of the building.

Please note that this parking lot is for patient use only while inside the Student Health Center and Pharmacy.  Use of the parking lot is monitored.  Violators will be ticketed and/or towed. Please note that the parking lot next to the building is a Red Lot and students who park there will be ticketed.

There are road construction projects surrounding the Student Health Center this month, but we are open for business as usual. Patient parking is still available, but is limited. Click here to view the construction site map.

 

Driving directions from I-35

  • From I-35 take the Aquarena Springs Exit (#206).
     
  • Turn west on Aquarena Springs Drive.
     
  • You will pass Bobcat Stadium on your left, a set of railroad tracks and Aquarena Springs Center on the right.The Student Health Center is on the left side of Comanche Street.
     
  • Stay in the right lane and immediately after crossing the San Marcos River, turn right onto Sessoms Drive.
     
  • Continue on Sessoms Drive until the third red light, which is at Comanche Street.
     
  • Turn left on Comanche Street and then turn left at the very next light, which is Student Center Drive.
     
  • Go straight on Student Center Drive and then turn left on Tomás Rivera Drive.
     
  • Take an immediate left into a parking lot and go left to the gates at the end of the lot.

Parking

  • Go through the red Restricted Parking lot to the gates at the end.
     
  • This is the entrance to the Student Health Center parking.
     
  • Push the button on the front of the kiosk to take a ticket and raise the gate.
Go through the restricted parking lot and through the gate to patient parking.
  • Park in any available space.
  • Handicapped parking is available in this parking lot.
  • Bring your ticket with you inside the Health Center for validation.

To Exit the Parking Gate

  • Drive up to the gate, insert your validated ticket and the gate should automatically open.
     
  • If it doesn't, push the call button on the kiosk for assistance.
